Dr. Berg clears up a lot of misconceptions that eating fat will cause gallstones. Gallstones are caused by low amounts of bile in the gallbladder. Bile is the detergent that breaks down the grease and fat so if you do not have enough of it you are at risk of getting gallstones. Gallstones are cholesterol stones and what increases cholesterol is insulin so low-fat diets increase your risk of gallstones as well. High levels of estrogen are a risk so to help out do intermittent fasting and keto along with taking bile salts to dissolve those levels.
