In this video, I discuss how high blood sugar levels can destroy your organs and what to do about it.
Glucotoxicity is the toxicity of glucose (sugar).
There are two things that happen—a massive oxidation effect and glycation.
1. Oxidation – Can happen in the arteries, brain, nerves, etc. and the body starts healing it with proteins, calcium, and cholesterol as a plaque.
2. Glycation – Is the effect of heating up and combining glucose with a protein. It alters the proteins in the body and makes them unusable. It creates a lot of damage in the tissues which can happen anywhere in the body.
4 main organs that are affected by high sugar
1. Kidney— High sugar can eventually completely destroy the kidney
2. Eyes — Blindness, glaucoma, cataracts, blurriness
3. Vascular System – Oxidation can result in plaque, clots, stroke, arrhythmias
4. Nerves/Brain – Loss of feeling in the hands or feet, memory loss, decreased learning
Diabetes is high blood sugar or hyperglycemia. But, you don’t just wake up and have diabetes. First, you have pre-diabetes. So, what happens before pre-diabetes? There is something that actually occurs before pre-diabetes, which is high insulin or hyperinsulinemia.
The thing is, it’s possible to prevent all of this.
High insulin can actually predict diabetes. But, in order to predict diabetes, you need to know what happens before diabetes.
The problem is that there is so much misinformation and missing information surrounding this subject. If you’re operating off of missing information, you can’t solve this problem.
What they don’t tell you is that a high-carbohydrate diet is what’s behind hyperinsulinemia. If you eat a high-carbohydrate diet, insulin gets triggered, and it pushes the blood sugar down.
There is a tremendous amount of damage in the body well before you get diabetes.
Hyperinsulinemia Symptoms:
• Frequent Urination
• Thirst
• Blurred Vision
• Belly Fat
• Fatigue
• Forgetfulness
• Inflammatory Conditions
What you really need to do is go on a low carbohydrate diet, and also be aware of the toxicity of glucose to various tissues of your body.
Take advantage of healthy keto (ketogenic diet), and get started with intermittent fasting—today. I provide a lot of information that can help you on this journey.
