The Sandwich Blog
Why blog about a sandwich recipe? Well, sandwiches are delicious! There are several large corporations who make millions selling sandwiches , but unfortunately if you are living a Keto lifestyle, you can usually only partake in the lettuce wrap version if you visit one of these sandwich shops.
I have spent lots of time making variations of sandwiches, toasting the bread in different ways and trying to devise the perfect formula for a good old fashion sandwich. After many different variations this recipe https://myketosite.com/keto-spicy-or-not-bologna-sandwich/ inparticular struck a success cord with my taste buds.
I thought I would share it with you. There is nothing better, in my opinion, than two pieces of toasted bread with various fixings hanging out in the middle.
The bread itself is the key to a really good sandwich. I have tried homemade keto breads, and they are good, but I don’t always have time to make bread. Sometimes I just want to make the sandwich, then sit down and enjoy the sandwich.
I will be honest, I am not a fan of filling the middle of the sandwich to the point where, when I lift it up to take a bite, all of my delicious fillings start to fall from the bottom.
Instead, I like to make a moderately filled sandwich and then have various other goodies on the side that I can take a bit of while eating the sandwich to add that extra yum factor.
Some examples of the extra yums are: dill pickles, hot dill pickles, olives, pickled asparagus, pickled veggies, avocado, fresh cucumbers, fresh bell pepper slices ,almond chips or some keto snack mix .
The possibilities are limitless. I do like to keep the extras on the side low carb and keto friendly.
I hope you enjoy the recipe in the link above. There are also some links to the various products throughout this blog that you can find on Amazon.
Happy Sandwich Eating!
