The Ultimate Keto Roll/Hamburger Bun
1 1/2 cups almond flour (150g)
1/3 cup psyllium husk (40g)
1/2 cup coconut flour (60g)
1/2 cup flax meal (75g)
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp salt
6 egg whites
2 cups boiling water
Optional toppings of your choice – Sesame seed, black currant seeds, minced garlic, asiago cheese, sharp cheddar, minced onion all make great toppings.
Mix the dry ingredients together. Mix the eggs and egg whites in a separate bowl. Add the egg mix to the dry mix and stir until incorporated well. Add the boiling water to the mixture, stir. Let the dough sit for 15 min.
One batch will make 9 hamburger sized rolls. Or 12 small sized dinner rolls.
Bake at 390 degrees for 20 min. At the 20 min mark rotate the pan so the buns that were in the back of the oven are in the front of the oven and bake for another 20 min. Watch the buns carefully, everyone’s oven is different and your buns may require more or less bake time.
The smaller the bun the less time they take to bake.
